From Renting to Owning: Securing Stability for Our Residents

With the support of a generous anonymous donor, funds raised during our Hope for the Holidays Campaign, and a grant, we were able to purchase two houses that we previously rented for our Community Supportive Housing program. These purchases provide greater flexibility and stability and ensure that no resident loses their housing as funding for permanent housing continues to be uncertain.
Our Permanent Supportive Housing programs provide affordable and stable housing to men and women who were previously chronically homeless and who have a disability. Residents pay no more than 30% of their income towards rent and receive ongoing support from case management. Last year, all of our Permanent Supportive Housing programs provided long-term housing to 34 adults.
Now that the homes have been purchased, we will make upgrades to the properties to ensure they are comfortable and well maintained for the residents who live there. If you’d like to support the necessary upgrades for this important program, please donate today!
