Volunteers offer more than a helping hand; their presence creates profound impacts on our clients’ lives. Volunteering allows for shared experiences and the nurturing of belonging for both volunteers and our clients. Please read below to learn about our volunteer opportunities.   

Volunteer Opportunities for Individuals

Please review our volunteer role descriptions below. Please note that not all volunteer opportunities are available at all times.

Resource and Day Center Program Assistant Volunteer

• This opportunity is generally available in-person from Monday through Saturday, between 8:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. with limited evening opportunities in the wintertime.

Community Recovery Center Assistant Volunteer

• This opportunity is generally available in-person from Monday through Saturday, between 8:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.

Facilities and Donations Assistant Volunteer

• Flexible scheduling is available, including on-call, as-needed, or consistent recurring opportunities. However, donation sorting is only available Monday through Saturday between 8:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.

Community Engagement and Communications Assistant Volunteer

• This opportunity is primarily virtual and may be completed on an on-call, as-needed, or project-based basis, with occasional in-person involvement as needed.

Opportunities for Groups

Groups are invited to coordinate one-time or recurring projects that support the needs of Arundel House of Hope and align with the interests and skills of their group. To discuss planning a group project, please contact us at info@arundelhoh.org.

Possible group projects include:

• Organize donation drives. 
• Provide a hot lunch & social hour in our Resource and Day Center  
• Complete yard work, paint projects, or home repairs at one of our properties.
• Host a holiday celebration, social event, or outing for program participants
• Host a fundraising event
